After graduating from art school, Ben Hofer moved home to Gainesville, Florida. Scrapping all his old paintings, he began to hone his storytelling through songwriting.
He is influenced by musicians such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Will Oldham and Gillian Welch, and visual artists including Joseph Cornell. Ben now lives in Washington, DC and continues to write and record. He’s currently working on a new album which he expects to release in early 2011.
